After giving ourselves a slight break in writing we encourage getting back to the "swing" of things. If you were like me, I was caught up in family activities the last few weeks. If you would like to go back to the past themes and write that is perfectly ok to do so. Just make sure you post your poem in the correct theme section.

Let's try writing a poem about clowns. So this week's theme will be:

Raindrops should be an easy theme to write about. A few years ago I wrote a raindrop poem for my entry for a poetry group. I feel I have come a long way in writing since this poem. I will find it and post it for a comparison to the way I am writing today.

Cokeey your poem deserved its own section. You are doing a great job and I cannot believe you just begun to write. You are going to give JT a run for his talent! Keep up the good work!

A poem about a certain tree or trees in general.

The following is in honor of a published poet. I believe all of you are familar with this poem about a tree.

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with ...

Yes, I think we can!

POETRY THEME FOR FEBRUARY 15-21 2009 (YOUR THEME CHOICE)

It would be interesting to read a poem with a different twist. Try to get the reader's mind to wander off in one direction and by the end of the poem it would be something entirely different. Perhaps with a humorous ending. Something that would give the reader a big smile or a laugh.

Any theme of your choice if fine.
