MYSTICAL SANCTUARY

Forest stands with trees so old
A bluebird soars mid-air
Warm breezes whipser to the trees
What words are carried there?

Can I tell them my secrets?
I am caught up in their spell
What secrets do they hold within?
What stories could they tell?

This place of tranquil beauty
This forest so serene
Sort brown earth beneath my feet
An encompassing mantle of green

I lay down on a grass bank
Beside a sparkling stream
I close my eyes in reverence
And sleep, perhaps to dream
